CAVE WITH A VIEW
All my life I have hunted
Following my most primitive
Ancient instincts
Which have often clashed
With my surroundings
Deeming my path unacceptable
Demanding I behave
As a civilized woman
And follow socially accepted ways
My training as a shaman
Has cost untold energies
Countless lifetimes
Now I have found my place
But who knows for how long
There are forces aiming
To extricate me
From my work and communion
I have found my cave with a view
Do not laugh, what a special hollow
Where the geomancy of heaven
And earth connect
Where energy arteries cross
My training, practice
And special use of karmic yoga
Help me recognize this
Wellspring of vitality
I have found my cave
Of many windows
From the entrance I can see
The illusion everyone
So dearly clings to
Beside the entrance, a window
Where I can view the future
In the back a dark spot
To peer deep into the past
Feeling the force of primal potency
High up, I find a space
Where I can gaze into the heavens
In contact with forces
Unrenowned on this planet
My visions and dreams are
Cherished gifts
Some meant for me alone
Some for specific people
Most I gladly share
In my stories and paintings
They contain strength, stamina
And the spontaneity of vivacity
The message of wholeness
Interconnectedness
Humbleness, gratitude
And respect
This is the place of my inspiration
Where I share my visions
My hope and my world
You are welcome here
If you can make the climb
Those who have gone before me
Have prepared this place for us
Let it be a compass of connection
A place of sharing
A leeway for hope and peace
An altar where vision
Becomes reality
I will be happy
If you visit me
In my cave
with
a view
